Statement from Hilton: Hurricane Irma

September 06, 2017  |  This information originated in American English.

Update #5 - September 13, 2017

As we monitor and assess the impact of Hurricane Irma, our thoughts remain with those that have been and continue to be affected by this storm. Hilton had more than 250 hotels, resorts and offices in Irma's path. All but one of our properties in the Caribbean are now back to normal operation and welcoming guests. The majority of our properties in the affected areas of the United States are also welcoming guests, although a small number are doing so with limited services.

Our immediate priority is to assist our guests, first responders and Team Members, as their safety and security is of paramount importance. We are waiving cancellation fees for travelers heading to, from or within the affected areas. We encourage guests with upcoming reservations to contact 1-800-HILTONS for the most up-to-date information.

We have also been moved by the acts of selflessness exhibited by our Team Members and hotels as they go above and beyond to help the communities where they live and work. Hilton continues to pledge our full commitment to helping the communities impacted by the devastation of this hurricane season. With the support of the American Red Cross, we are giving our members the opportunity to support the relief efforts through Hilton Honors point donations.

We are also extending the Hilton Honors Members and Hilton Responds donation campaigns through October 31, 2017, and are now doubling the company's dollar-for-dollar matching commitment so that we can respond to Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma.
