MCLEAN, Va. - The demand for event space is rising - and so are the rates - making booking early more important than ever. From now through 2018, full-service hotel occupancy is predicted to be 70 percent or higher.1 Just this year, due to an increased demand for events, group hotel rates in North America are expected to rise by nearly five percent, according to the American Express 2016 Global Meetings and Events Forecast. This reality not only encourages, but demands, that groups plan ahead to ensure their event needs are met in the coming years.

To encourage event and meeting professionals to book early and get ahead in the New Year, Hilton (NYSE: HLT) today launches its Great Rates and Rebates promotion, offering room rates starting at $99 and rebates up to five percent for 2016 reservations.

"Meeting and event professionals are under more pressure than ever to deliver experiences that drive results, but, this year, they also need to consider booking early to anticipate the rise in rates and occupancy predicted in the coming years," said Andrew Flack, vice president, global marketing, Hilton Worldwide. "With this limited time offer, we're taking the lead to alleviate the stress caused by limited availability and high rates, so, instead, event professionals can focus on delivering unique, unforgettable experiences."

The offer, available at Hilton.com/GreatRates, can be applied to 2016 meetings and events booked from January 4 to January 31, 2016 at more than 500 participating U.S. hotels within the Hilton portfolio.

In addition to receiving our best group rates, rebates will be available for meetings or events that book and maintain at least 100 rooms on their peak night. Groups can receive a three percent rebate when they book one meeting or event, four percent for two simultaneous bookings and five percent for three or more simultaneous bookings.
